Where do you get your articles?
We put together our articles as a team. We all check them out prior to publishing, so we make sure we’re hitting our mark: good material each time. In addition, we’re always reading other writers’ articles and posts. If we see one we think will be up to par, we submit it as a guest post. And that’s not to mention our Green Bean Posts. So there’s plenty of quality material to choose from to make sure you’re reading the most up-to-date info.
Is this site open to the public?
No, we want to make sure that building professionals make up all of the participants on this site. We do that to make sure that the tools,(-such as the Rating Lists), are not filled with vendors and solicitors.
How is this different than trade association sites?
There actually aren’t many similar sites out there in the world of Facility, Building or Property Management. We believe that we provide unique content that stands apart from all other sites, including the industry association site. Hopefully after reading a few posts, you’ll see the difference.
We’ve seen many articles out there, which include one or more of the following:
• They’re written by a service vendor or manufacturer, not a professional with Facility Management experience.
• They have something to sell, and the article subtly leads you into buying something.
•They may provide information that’s nice to know, but it isn’t actionable.
Our whole focus is on material that is convenient, concentrated, and able to be utilized right after reading it.
Plus, our site offers several things you don’t find on other sites:
1. A rating system for vendors, so you can rate and list a vendor that you’ve had a good or bad experience with. It’s kind of like Angie’s List for building professionals.
2 Our Green Bean section also encourages you to be part of the discussion and add value to the community.
What happens to my email after I provide it to you?
Our email subscriber list is private, only for the team at Facility VIP. We’ve seen a few sites that provide industry information and will actually rent out your email; we won’t name any names. We take your privacy seriously. Like you, we wouldn’t want our email addresses shared.
We do look to grow the site by getting referrals from you. However, once anyone is on our list, their information will never be shared.Any further questions, please review our privacy policy located on the site.
